The shamanic journey of Alicia who travels between the beast, a system that controls us and the Dragon, a magical force, always destroying and creating. It incorporates music of many genres, dance, art and video instillation. It has become a confluence of different art forms represented by some of the greatest artist in Washington DC. The opera features audio representing the voice of Raheem Devaughn, Christie Dashiell, and Solomon Howard, Live performances by Imani Grace Cooper, Sitali Siyolwe, Courtney Dowe, Yaya Balbed, Theresa Watson, Eliot Seppa, Joe Herrera, Elijah Easton, and Pete Muldoon Choreography by Gwendolyn Goodwin along with dancing by Shannon White and Christine Rebecca Jenkins Stagecraft and puppetry by Garwin Zamora, Joserie Molina, Sounds of the production of Allyn Johnson with contributions by Wes Felton and Awthentic Opening August 11th 2018 at the Anacostia arts Center, Please join us in a dystopian future a week before the collapse of modern civilization due to complete exhaustion and destruction of vital resources.
